League One Volleyball (LOVB) announced that Octopus Energy has signed on as an Official Partner of LOVB Houston Volleyball for the team’s second professional season. The partnership will feature dedicated Houston-based activations celebrating the growth of women’s volleyball and the role sports play in strengthening local communities.

“With Texas at the heart of our U.S. headquarters, partnering with LOVB Houston feels like a natural extension of our commitment to this community,” said Nick Chaset, CEO of Octopus Energy and EVP of Octopus Energy Group. “Like LOVB, we believe in championing opportunities that bring people together. Supporting women’s sports in our hometown allows us to show that commitment in a meaningful and visible way.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering communities, celebrating women’s sports, and fueling the growth of volleyball from the grassroots to the professional level. Through this collaboration, LOVB and Octopus Energy will bring to life Houston-based activations that highlight the power of sport to unite, inspire, and strengthen local connections.

The partnership will extend to the youth level as well, supporting the next generation of athletes through Houston Skyline, LOVB’s Houston junior club, through programming and activations centered around the partnership’s shared values of teamwork, inclusion, and growth.

“As we built our team partnerships for 2026, alignment of values was essential and Octopus Energy checked every box,” said Michelle McGoldrick, LOVB Chief Business Officer. “We’re thrilled to partner with a company that shares our belief in teamwork, inclusion, and building something bigger than sport. Together, we can continue to elevate what women’s volleyball means to this community.”

LOVB is the only youth-to-pro ecosystem in the US. In Houston, LOVB's 2026 roster includes a mix of experienced international and national team players along with standouts from NCAA and professional leagues. Notable players include setters two-time Olympic medalist Micha Hancock and Kaisa Alanko, opposite hitters two-time Olympic medalist Jordan Thompson and Grace Frohling, outside hitters Jess Mruzik, Madi Kingdon Rishel, and Julia Brown, and middle blockers Amber Igiede, Raphaela Folie, and Jazmine White. LOVB’s Houston junior club, Houston Skyline, has more than 1,300 athletes across the city.
